Borderlands 2 DLC release date announced

The next DLC for Borderlands 2 has been announced by 2K and Gerabox. T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest will be released on 22nd October on Xbox 360, PS3 and Steam, for £2.39 in the UK. ($2.99 in US and 2,99 EUR  across Europe).

“In TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest, you’ll be tasked by the eponymous zombified corpse to discover the pieces of a key that will lead you into the heart of the Pumpkin Kingpin’s pumpkin patch, where you will confront the Kingpin himself in an epic battle to claim his giant pumpkin head as your own.”

The DLC pack also offers candies that  fall from enemies and provide temporary powers, from increased damage to faster movement.

Gearbox to make more Borderlands 2 DLC & Next-Gen game

In an interview for Nerdist on their podcast, Andy Pitchford, software head for Gearbox, hinted at what the studio has coming up in the pipeline.

Pitchford stated: “We did a Season Pass for Borderlands 2 and the Season Pass was like, ‘hey, if you buy the Season Pass we’re going to be doing four campaign DLCs, but you can get all four of them for the price of three if you buy upfront”

“So everyone has this expectation that those would be the four DLCs and then that’s it. We’re going to do more. We’re going to do some other things. We don’t have details yet about it exactly … if you are a Borderlands fan, you don’t have to be afraid that that’s the end of it.”

Pitchford also confirmed Gearbox’s plans post-Borderlands, and that they are developing a new brand for the PS4 and Xbox One.

“We are building an original IP for the next generation that we’ll announce sometime later,” he revealed. “Obviously we have Borderlands, we’ve got Brothers in Arms, we’ve got Duke Nukem and we acquired Homeworld recently. So we have all of those great brands, but we’re actually creating some new things that we’ll announce. So that will be something to look forward to.”
