Following on from Bryan Singer’s tweet last week that X-Men: Apocalypse would be coming in 2016, more news has revealed that the current slated release date is May 27, 2016.
Vulture has confirmed that Singer will be directing and that the film is to be a direct sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past. Although Apocalypse will not feature the older counterparts of the earlier films (Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen) and will just focus on the younger X-Men, as played by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender.
X-Men: Days of Future Past will release on 22 May, 2014 in the UK and on May 23 in USA .
